By Meg Hurst is a womenswear brand inspired by my personal childhood, exploring a rollercoaster of fun, playing in the garden making mud pies, making dens, baking on the kitchen floor, playing dress up, sewing with my Nan. I learned things that I found as valuable as those I was taught in a classroom, like how to be kind, compassionate and bring a smile to other people's faces. 

There was never a single moment I can think of that was boring and not jam packed with excitement. I can definitely say I am extremely lucky to have the Mum I do, who never left me the chance to get bored, always encouraging me to express myself and to chase my dreams. Mum taught me that nothing was impossible. With Mum always encouraging my creativity, I was always doodling as a child, and my Mum kept almost every single one of my drawings, which I have used to develop into a gorgeous, fun, and playful print. I want people to smile when they see my collection and feel a happiness so strong that they could burst at the seams when wearing my garments.

I was always very specific with my wardrobe as a child, it had to be bright, colourful, oversized and bonus points if it was pink and sparkly as well! Most of my outfits were a mishmash of whatever was pinkest or sparkliest, and that's carried on through to my adulthood. As I've grown older, my sense of style hasn't really changed in the slightest.

Like many others, inspired by childrenswear and dreaming you could fit into the clothing still, I decided to bring the kid core and girlie pop vibe into womenswear - creating a fun and unique kids wear inspired brand!
